HVO South Open Cut Coal Continuation Project

This project will allow me support my young family. It will allow me to provide for my son and support his learning.

I work at HVO and wish to keep working at HVO in to the future

HVO South provides secure employment for myself and provides my family with the affordability of a comfortable lifestyle.
HVO South also provides my community with resources to fund projects within schools and local community organisations that benefit my community as a whole.
HVO South are also courteous and aware of the local community and its residents and at every opportunity minimise any and all impacts their operations may have.
HVO as a whole has also provided opportunities to my family, providing uni holiday employment for the past 2 years, which has not only provided work experience but also allowed my daughter the affordability to live in Sydney during the uni terms.

Extending the life of mining at HVO allows me to support my family and families of local businesses that my family and I shop at. Through the stable employment HVO provides this is a positive outcome for everyone in the community. Employment at HVO also allow my to provide a good life for me and my family, to which I am very grateful for.

With the opportunities at HVO I am able to provide myself and my family a good life with comforts and able to give my kids plenty of structure, sport and lifestyle benefits like gym and swim. Provides me with peace of mind that myself and family are looked after.

HVO plays a huge part in the future of my working career. I am completely an upskill program from fitter to plant mechanic and have a very bright future ahead of me at HVO.

I have a young family. A little boy and girl and I am the main provider for our house hold. HVO allows me to earn good money on quite a challenging environment with rising interest rises etc.

The roster allows me to spend more time with my family. It allows me to drop off and pick up the kids from school. Not a lot of working fathers get to do this. My family is my world.

I believe HVO really cared about it’s impact and it’s community. I really hope it stays a working pit.

HVO plays a huge part in supporting the community and small businesses, I am a small business owner and work at HVO regularly, this site supports my business week in and week out. Without the support from HVO my business would struggle and it would be hard on my family

Jobs for the community

I wish to support the continuation of the HVO South open cut project. Glencore provide excellent support to our local communities via jobs, roads, donations to business & charities. Glencore’s land rehab gives me peace of mind knowing our land will be returned to a state suitable for our future generations.

HVO provides many jobs that help the growing hunter Halley. Without these companies we would all feel the effects even those who oppose the extension would suffer.
Let's not put further strain on the economy by creating more unemployed people fighting for jobs and lining up at Centerlink.

I am 100% in support for this project going forward with the future of Hvo playing a big part in the support of my self and family,education and learnings for my kids to succeed and help them. I beleive that this project will continue to boost economy and support for the local community going forward with the huge support Hvo supply every year
