Although I do support an increase in the yearly concerts at the stadium I do OBJECT to the following:
1) The rehersal and sound test finish time of 10pm - this directly impacts school age children and students in South Paddington.
8pm should be the sound check/rehersal limit.
2) The concert length being increased to 10 hours twice a year.
3) The increased Madi Gras after party hours.

I am writing to express my enthusiastic support for the modified proposal to increase the number of concerts held at the Sydney Football Stadium. The proposed adjustments, including raising the concert cap from 6 to 20 events per year, extending concert length to 10 hours twice a year, altering rehearsal and sound test finish times to 10pm, and granting a curfew exemption for the Mardi Gras event, demonstrate a well-rounded approach that balances cultural enrichment, economic growth, and community engagement.

Cultural Enrichment and Community Engagement:
The proposed increase in the number of concerts aligns perfectly with the goal of enhancing cultural vibrancy in Sydney. Live music events have an unparalleled ability to bring diverse communities together, fostering a sense of unity and shared experience. By broadening the range of musical genres and accommodating various tastes, we can ensure a more inclusive and engaging cultural calendar. Moreover, offering additional performance opportunities will create a platform for emerging local artists to showcase their talents, fostering creativity and innovation within the city.

Economic Benefits and Tourism:
The modified proposal presents exciting economic opportunities for Sydney. Concerts attract a wide array of audiences, both locally and internationally, contributing significantly to the city's revenue stream. Visitors attending these events often indulge in accommodations, dining, transportation, and other local services, giving a substantial boost to the hospitality and tourism sectors. With a more robust event schedule, more job opportunities will also be created, ranging from event organizers to security personnel and various event-related roles.

Adapting to Community Needs:
I appreciate the attention given to community concerns in this modified proposal. The extension of rehearsal and sound test finish times to 10pm strikes a balance between the needs of performers and the interests of the local residents. This adjustment, coupled with proper noise mitigation strategies and cooperation with local authorities, will ensure that the potential disruptions are minimized while allowing artists the necessary time to prepare for their performances.

Mardi Gras Curfew Exemption:
The provision of a curfew exemption for the Mardi Gras event is a thoughtful inclusion. The Mardi Gras holds immense cultural significance and is a celebration that resonates with both locals and visitors alike. Granting this exemption demonstrates a commitment to honoring cultural traditions and supporting events that contribute to Sydney's unique identity.

Conclusion:
In conclusion, the modified proposal for an increased number of concerts at the Sydney Football Stadium is a well-rounded and thoughtful approach that takes into consideration the diverse needs of the community, the city's economic growth, and its cultural enrichment. This proposal aligns perfectly with Sydney's commitment to fostering a vibrant cultural scene, supporting local artists, and boosting economic opportunities. I am confident that this proposal will receive the support it deserves, and I look forward to witnessing the positive impact it will have on our beloved city.

Thank you for your consideration of this modified proposal. Your dedication to ensuring a balanced and dynamic cultural landscape for Sydney is truly commendable.

Concerts at Moore Park are extremely loud for neighbours, especially on Cook Road, Moore Park Road. I support the use of the entire precinct for more entertainment, however 20 concerts per year + sound checks will result in loud noise almost every other weekend, making quiet enjoyment of ones own home impossible.

I suggest and would support 10 concerts per year maximum, which is a large % increase over the current 4.
I support the abolition of the Mardi Gras after-party curfew, again, as a culturally-significant once per year event, this is acceptable to me.

Balancing the needs to the local community with people seeking entertainment is important, and I believe my suggestions above strike a better balance than the excessive 20 concerts per year.

I would also encourage strong discouragement of private car use for events, such as removing overflow car parks in the parklands.

Many thanks

I live in Paddington, very close to the Sydney Football Stadium.
I object to increasing the number of concerts from 6 per year to a maximum of 20 per year, to increasing the maximum concert length from 5 hours to 10 hours twice a year, and increasing the rehearsal and sound test finish times from 7pm to 10pm.
The residents surrounding the Sydney Football Stadium already have to endure traffic chaos and excess noise with the existing 6 concerts per year. To drive to and from your home at these times is frustrating with long delays due to traffic congestion. It is also unfair to subject residents to further noise pollution, particularly at night. The increased traffic congestion and noise pollution which these modifications will bring will be detrimental to residents mental health and I strongly object to modification 7 & 8 Proposed Concert Cap Increase for the Sydney Football Stadium.

This is a great idea. There should be more concerts at the stadium to increase utilisation of this asset that there tax payers have paid for.

As a home owner on Regent St Paddington for 30 years I have much experience regarding the local impact of concerts and sporting events held at Sydney Football Stadium and Sydney Cricket Ground.
I do not object to lifting the concert cap as these facilities should be used and my family enjoys music and attending live shows.
I do however think transport to and from the events needs to be improved and concert goers discouraged from driving their cars to the event. If they do bring a car parking should be provided by the venue.
Resident parking should be protected and I propose local resident only parking on event days. Fines should be increased on these days. Yesterday The Swans played in the afternoon and parking on my street was very difficult. Many parking tickets were issued providing for the City Council. Attendees figure they can split a parking fine 4 ways and that is less than an Uber or taxi fare.
In addition, event attendees should be discouraged from making excessive noise late in the evening on suburban streets, although in my experience those attending sporting fixtures, especially all day events, are the rowdiest as they are more likely to be drunk and a small number of them damage local property.

I am up at 5:00am each morning for work and therefore would not support any further noise pollution by increasing the number of concerts past the current limit of 6 should the events be held during the evening. I have no objection to day time concerts.I also do not support increasing the rehearsal and sound finish times past 7pm. This work should be carried out during the day in any case and not late of an evening.

Object to the proposal due to the increased amount of noise that the proposed modifications will bring to the local area.
