Developers have not future vision. Only interested in today maximizing the profits. Should not be allowed to change the initial plans. Koalas are precious and the creek is unique. Needs to be preserved for future generationsr

I object to the developers request to "remove the requirement to plant koala food trees on a 27-hectare parcel of land within the Cudgen Nature Reserve"

I also object to the developers request to "remove the requirement to provide traffic calming devices to manage potential koala movements across the site"

These requirements should remain.

Hello,

I am very concerned about this new development and the affect it will have on our precious koalas.

I want the developer to keep to the current agreement.

Kind regards

I object to any modifications that will reduce protection for Koalas and other threatened wildlife. Planting of Koala food trees in the 27Ha block should have been completed long before any site disturbance begins. It takes many years for trees to be used as a food resource by Koalas.
Corridor width of 100 metres is minimal, no reduction in this distance should be allowed.
All originally proposed Koala road crossing structures (underpass or overpass) should be retained along with vehicle speed control devices (speed bumps and chicanes). Wildlife, including Koalas, will access the built up areas and every measure that will mitigate against vehicle strike should be adopted.
I have worked with Koalas in a professional capacity for over twenty years and it is apparent that our Tweed Koala population is facing extinction.
Profitable development can occur in concert with conservation objectives - these modifications represent simple .

There should be a koala plan of management that provides tree corridors and reduced speed limits and it should be in place before work starts.

Koalas need our FULL Support so I object to all proposals that further endanger the well being of this species or limit their movements

I am horrified that these changes are being considered. There is no regard for the Koalas in any way shape and form.
The Tweed council would not allow these disgraceful requests and compromise the safety of our beloved Koalas.
No planting of koala food trees, reducing reserve corridors from 100 mtrs width to 50 mtrs, as well as other modifications detrimental to koalas is unacceptable.
Money rules yet again. The greed, selfishness and cruelty of people will always win. That's the nature of humanity unfortunately.

Good evening, the region in question needs protection from over development. It also demands careful consideration of the protection of wildlife and the natural environment ...a valued and critical element of our regions unique and special heritage. Surely the developer and approving authorities recognise the added value of ensuring a development which considers and then protects the environment. Also one that has at its heart economic considerations to purchasers/investors AND the kudos that would come from a contemporary Far North Coast /Tweed society that clearly desires sensible sustainable and considerate development?

I disagree strongly with these developments in Kingscliff already ramrodding any protection for our precious fauna and flora..the KOALAS in particular. .
When will you people in power because you take it away from us in every turn..when will you realise that common sense should always prevail and you do not want to look in retrospect one day and realise the damage you have left for our children and their future..PLEASE DO NOT GO AHEAD WITH THESE PLANS..IT IS OUTRIGHT CRIMINAL TO THE ANIMAL KINGDOM...

I am deeply concerned and object to the modifications proposed to the original conditions of approval of the Project. The new modifications put both the flora and fauna at risk. Koalas already have diminished greatly in numbers and the proposal to diminish the area from 100m to 50m puts them at even high risks to be wiped out. Koalas need trees for food and welfare and if these are not in place then they have nowhere to live and will perish. Koalas are very territorial and it is not a case where they can just move on.
Koalas also need to be safe around the urban areas and roads. The roads are already heavily utilised and safe places need to be reinforced not removed for koalas to cross roads and not be placed at risk by a lack of fencing.
Please reject the proposal (08_0194 (MOD4)) to modify Kings Forest as it fails to satisfy the conditions of approval under both NSW and Federal planning assessments.

I strongly object to the proposed modifications to the Koala Management Plan. North Coast koalas are under dire threat and any change to the plan will further endanger their survival. The developer MUST be made to adhere to the plan.

I do not agree with the conditions of this development being changed to suit the developer. Especially as far as the Northern Rivers Koala population is concerned, there is a real need for protection.

I strongly object to the amendment, as this seems to be to ploy of large developers, which they also submitted changes to their Cobaki project. They are "indian givers" promise one think to gain approval then changed the plans latter. WHAT REALLY IS WRONG IS THE COUNCIL DISAPPROVED IT, BUT THE SEEKED APPROVAL FROM LANDS DEPT IN SYDNEY WHO OVER TURNED THE DECISION BY COUNCIL. SO OUR COMMUNITY PLANS ARE CONTROLLED BY THOSE WHO DON'T EVEN LIVE HERE. IF THEY WANT TO BUILD STICK TO ORIGINAL PLANS OR GO TO SYDNEY SEE HOW THEY LIKE IT, THOUGH WESTERN SUBURBS MAY BE HAPPY

Our Amazing Australian Native Fauna, especially our Koala's DON'T KNOW BORDERS!
The developer needs to be educated on the importance of Wildlife corridors and just how critical they are for our amazing native fauna that sadly we are pushing to extinction in new developed areas. We should look at these areas that have already been developed and see the mistakes made and learn from them.
The Developer must keep all promises made, I strongly object to any changes to the plan.
Developer needs to plant trees and shrubs, have a 100-metre wildlife corridor to shelter and feed the existing local wildlife that need to roam freely across this corridor to seek food, water and suitable habitat, our wildlife doesn't know borders and when they do we risk these isolated animals becoming inbred that possibly could lead to local extinctions.
This plan must also have traffic calming devices and develop strict lighting restrictions for street lights and housing adjacent to the corridor to prevent light pollution into the corridor, lights must be directed downward and inward towards the homes.
The developer needs to know that providing this corridor not only is it helping a variety of our local native fauna to move freely through it, these corridors have proven that native fauna will move in permanently.
Our wildlife doesn't know borders they need this wildlife corridor, they cannot tell you how much it is needed as they have no voice, so today I am there voice and I hope you are listening to all who care about this very important issue.
