Most important is to keep the planting of primary habitat trees not secondary trees in cleared areas not established areas.

We need the full 27 hectares or more of primary koala food trees

East west 100meters corridor not 50 meters they need the space.

Have to have the 5 under passes for this sparse area not just 1

All the previous things agreed to in the original plans should be forced into keeping them in place not all these changes or watering down of things.

I object to the proposal to modify any conditions for protection of koalas and their habitat under which the previous application was approved.

Any reduction of koala protection is unacceptable.

My family are Completely against the modifications to this development. This is a development that is not wanted by the local community. Tweed Koalas are under enough stress as it is without this monstrosity of a development and developer weaselling out of conditions PROMISED to protect the Koala population. Money hungry developers that have no concern for the local population or animals.

The development application has already been approved with minimum protection measures for the endangered koala population. These measures need to be retained to ensure that the few koalas left are catered for. The developer is aware of the sensitive nature of the area and should not be able ignore community concerns. We are fast heading to a situation where koalas will no longer exist in the wild.

I oppose the application to modify the Koala Plan of Action. The original conditions are needed to protect koalas which are under severe threat in the Tweed. I support the need for planting koala food trees, traffic calming, fencing and underpasses as necessary measures to protect koalas.

I OBJECT to this proposed modification. Koalas are endangered in this area and we need all possible protective measures for them. I am not against development, but it must be done responsibly. There is no rationale for watering down the original terms and conditions of the planning approval. Natural beauty and natural attractions are part of the reason we love living here and part of the reason we attract so many tourists too. Don't spoil it!

I am writing to object to the developer of the above project proposing to modify the existing application to change their agreement to protect the Tweed Koalas at Kings Forest. It is extremely unfair how developers put one submission forward, get that approved, then want to modify their original proposal to change and cut back their original committment.The proposed buildings in Kings Forest are going to be a major change to the local area, creating more traffic, larger population etc. We need to keep some part of the area still available to the local wildlife to live and survive or wil will end up with no wildlife at all.

I strongly worry about the implications for the Koala population if these changes are approved.
I disagree with any chnages being made that are going to hurt the widelife in this area any more then they will already be hurt by the kings forrest development.

Development is already controversially approved. Its size is not a good fit in this environment. There is not enough infrastructure to support the development as is. Koala protection is essential. It is clear the developer does not care about our koalas. The revisions requested are all about the developer making more profit and leaving what is important to the established community in a mess. School children currently study the koala population. The developer is not thinking ahead to our children's future.

It is outrageous to the local community that a large tourism corporation can attempt to change the natural aspects of the location that it intends inviting international visitors to come and enjoy. It is not acceptable for these double standards to exist at the level of big business, especially when it reflects so poorly on the ethical standards of the local community.

As an ex 20+ year resident of Kingscliff, I must object to the proposed changes to the Kings Forest development.

The sea, the creek, the forests and their inhabitants are part of what makes life so special in this part of the world. It is the jewel in the crown of Tweed Shire.

It is well known the Tweed koala population is dwindling due to continued population growth due to loss of habitat, urban growth and dogs. It is in his regard I ask that the proposed amendments to the Leda development not be allowed.

Our koalas need the Government to provide protection and safe havens for them to survive and hopefully thrive. We must not allow private developers to take away food trees, wildlife corridors, koala fencing and other measures in place to provide protection to the local koala population.

Not happy that the developer has made a proposal to get the development approved only to change its proposal after approval to make it easier for themselves. Locals are in support of the original proposal onky. No changes should be allowed to their application especially in regards to Koala conservation and habitat

This is an abysmal attempt to further degrade environmental standards within the King's Forest area that goes back many years. The developers need to be held to account and instead of maximising profit by sacrificing public amenity at a huge cost to the environment they need to be told that enough is enough. Corporate and development vandalism should be seen for what it is.

It is a responsibility to look after the wildlife in the area. Other submissions such as an approval of the petrol station which was originally denied are already a major environmental catastrophe and frankly not needed. Money should not be the only consideration ever to anyone but we continually see evidence of this by developers. I and am in pure disbelief that someone wanting to develop the area would also want to then change the whole reason for living in this area. Which for the locals is to enjoy the environmental buffers and protect the animals and enjoy NOT turn It into another densely populated city and threaten the wildlife and environmental foot print. Please don't approve this. They get to sit and hide behind paperwork and try push it through under the radar. Are they not accountable?

I object to all of the modifications listed above. The koalas in this area are under threat and this application was previously approved with these measures in place so why change it now.

Regarding Application No. 08_0194MOD4, i strongly object to this Development Application Modification at King's Forest by the developer.
The developer should keep their promise and follow their commitment which means acting responsibly to protect our wildlife and the koala habitat and enhance our environment.
Honesty, integrity and accountability is of the utmost importance to have the support of the community.

The applicant MUST apply all the conditions proposed in the DA.

This company and its management agreed to accept a number of development conditions in support the koala colony located in and around their proposed development as part of their original application.

They are now trying to have these conditions removed.

This company has a of doing this sort of thing in the past order to improve their at the of the environment and in this case the survival of the Tweed Koalas.

I am asking you that instead of this company and its senior management, who can only be described as a bunch of "" try doing the decent thing for a change and support the future of our koala!
