I am in favor of the Winterbourne Wind Farm, as it can generate new energy to both the local area and the whole New South Wales area.

It is environmental-friendly and save the fossil fuel, which is a win-win for both economy and environment.

I am very passionate about doing everything we can to combat climate change to ensure a secure future for ourselves and our families, and sourcing alternative forms of power is one of the keys to our success. I am from the UK where wind farms have been a normal view on the horizon for some time, and where wind farms generate approximately 25% of electricity, surpassing both coal and nuclear energies.
Wind energy is inexhaustible and generates power without creating pollution. It will also generate a wealth of jobs for Australians and help NSW to achieve its target of 50% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.

The planet is in crisis and we need to be embracing renewable energy to mitigate the climate emergency. Australia is a decade behind other developed countries. Our energy costs are soaring. It is crucial that government and business take bold steps to support renewable projects like wind farms and that the interests of the next generation is put ahead of individuals now.

According to the EIS report, 119 turbines with 700MW capacity were proposed. The project with this scale will produce a huge amount of renewable energy to our local coummnity and the broader National Electricity Market. I believe it will help deliver affordable power to each resident in NSW and the broader Austrilia. Currently, the electricity price is way too high for the public. We need more renewable projects, like Winterbourne wind farm, to supply cheaper power.

I support the Winterbourne wind farm because Walcha has a great wind source for this development. It is a great opportunity for this little town to grow and thrive and a place where people will want to move to which will create a larger community to keep the School and the local Clubs open and thriving.
The wind farm development will be an amazing opportunity for the community for 30 years or possibly 60 or 70 years.
The income from the community fund will repair and build new infrastructure and that will create so many more opportunities for the children and the elderly.
Looking forward to seeing the wind farm in this community.
