I support the project, I support renewable energy projects and I have known some of the Winterbourne Wind Farm's background information. I believe Winterbourne Wind Farm will make positive social impacts to the society and surrounding residents.

Critical project to continue the momentum on a transition to renewable energy

I believe that clean energy is essential for improving our environment and slowing down the global warming. This project is to build a wind farm to utilise the wind energy which is low in carbon footprint and good to our Earth.
On the other hand, it can contribute to our economy and society in terms of more job opportunities and lower electricity prices.

It is time for the goverment to invest renewable energy, transform mining work force into clean energy. the wind farm create jobs, provide clean energy and upskill technicians.

To stop climate change

This will be a great project that will create work in this country

All wind turbines along the Great Dividing Range on east coast of Australia might be all right visually if the transmission lines taking power from these "wind farms" to the much larger transmission lines, of which so many more are needed.

Before all the scenic landscapes are totally "industrialised", as it will seem after all this is completed and finalised, good long thinking sessions, many think tanks involving stakeholders of all kinds, need to be organised and held as a priority.

Nuclear fission creates almost total efficiency compared to the renewables relying on wind and sun, and do not seem to be part of the mix at all. IT NEEDS TO BE !!!!

Wind turbines is a clean, renewable energy source, and is one of the most cost-effective sources for electricity.

This project will make a significant contribution to Australia’s efforts to combat climate change and reach its renewable energy targets. This project is cost effective and will help stimulate direct and indirect employment.

Wind energy is a clean and more environmentally protected than fossils fuel energy.

The wind farm will generate around 2,100,000 MWh per annum. This is enough energy to power around 375,000 average NSW homes for a year. This will offset about 1.8 million tonnes of greenhouse gases per annum. This is approximately equivalent to 3% of the NSW goal to achieve 50% reduction in greenhouse gases by 2030.

Wind Power is the key to a sustainable future, together with other renewable energy production. Recent global events have just further showed the importance to transition to a clean energy production.

With Australia being a traditional coal giant it is great step towards the future if the country is able to continue achieving green energy goals - and the Winterbourne Wind Farm project will be one of the steps necessary!

Our country has always been great at leading environmental initiatives, so why stop now. Taking on board renewables is the right decision for Winterbourne. Let's make this happen and be a part of the energy revolution.

If we are to beat climate change, we need to act now! There is no doubt that this is a real threat, and it is our responsibility to do something about it. We cannot keep doing what we are doing and think thigs will change (let alone improve).
All the politicians (states and federal) are saying we are committed to a 50% reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 but at this rate, we will not get there! Supporting renewable energy (wind in particular) is the only way to achieve this - and the benefits are global!

The local investment as a result of the project will go a long way to help the local communities while creating more local jobs. Being in the renewable energy zone, these skills will be required by other projects in the area (and throughout Australia) as we transition towards clean renewable energy.

As renewable energy will be cheaper than new follis fuel generation, one of the other largest local benefits to Australia will be reduced electricity bills to all Australians.

I support having alternative Energy providers being created for all Australian towns. I am pro renewable energy and love having multiple forms of energy being produced for aussie people. With the world slowly running out of coal we need more Windfarms, hydro and Solar farms being built to support the hole that closing the coal powered providers will create. I live near 2 windfarms in Victoria and what they are providing for the community in the form of grants for sports and environment related projects is wonderful. What a wonderful project this Winterbourne Wind Farm will be for this community also.

I support renewable energy in order to make change for climate change and reduce carbon emission. It will help with local jobs and towns around economically.

Wind farms create a significant number of job opportunities across Australia, whilst also moving Australia towards less reliance on fossil fuels that impact generations to come. Cleaner energy should 100% be supported and allowed to be built.

Clean energy and cheap. Also reduce the greenhouse gas emission.
