I object to this proposal on the following grounds.

NOISE: The noise of Operating equipment together with Trucks delivering and picking up will be far more than what is permitted by Camden Council.

ODOUR: Green waste from gardens and site bins have a high potential to have started to decompose this could bring the Odour levels to nearby homes to unacceptable level.

SLEEP DEPRIVATION: The proposed hours will greatly add to sleep deprivation as the closest resident is only 120 metres away. Nighttime Lighting even up to 10pm will add to the problem

I lodge my families objection to the proposed facility at Smeaton Grange. The location near the residential area of Currans Hill is not appropriate for a facility of this type. This facility should be located much further away from residential properties.

The hours of operations till 10 pm are unacceptable to this quiet community. The poor noise attentuation of a colourbound based perimeter facade is deemed not sufficiently durable and easily vandalised. The generated noise from truck tail gates and unloading operations will not be picked up during noise monitoring which is based over a period of time. These acute noise levels, no matter how brief are not acceptable to the community.

The company has a poor track record in compliance of environmental obligations, and this alone should ring huge alarm bells to those making and decisions regarding approval.

I concur with Camden Councils objection to the facility.

We wish to lodge our objection to this proposed development in close proximity to our house.

Environmental documents produced for the developer will obviously state there is little to no issue, they are paying for the report.

Would the final approvers of such a facility accept this close to their homes. Of course not. Hence the facility should not be approved given its location to residential Currans Hill.

I totally object to the Benedict Resource Recovery facility being set up in Smeaton Grange as proposed.
I have major concerns that this facility is so close to our residential area and especially basically being at the end of my street.
The amount of heavy traffic is bad enough in this area now without increasing to cater for this facility.

I have a nature reserve reserve opposite my house with a vast amount of wild life and I believe the noise and air pollution will will have a large effect on this.

I am also a light sleeper and as everyone knows noise carries at night which I know will impact on my sleep and I have to be awake early for my work.

I chose this house because of the quiet surroundings and feeling of being close to nature. This facility will remove all that and more and must not be allowed.

Regards

I object to the Benedict recycling being placed in smeaton Grange
It will effect the air quality in our area
The noise pollution will be noticeable
Our home value would be decreased being so close to such a facility
The traffic coming thru smearing grange is already bad without haveing large trucks adding to the burden

The proposed Benedict Smeaton Grange - Resource Recovery Facility will lead to the production of unacceptable noise, light and air pollution immediately next to a densely populated suburb, Currans Hill. This pollution would be generated both by the materials themselves and the range of light and heavy vehicles transporting materials to and from the site.

Families within Currans Hill should not be forced to deal with this level of noise, light or air pollution on their doorstep. The request for 7 day operations and operations between 6 am and 10 pm Monday to Friday and between 6 am/8 am Saturday and Sunday is particularly inappropriate as the noise from these operations would guarantee residents have no noise, light-pollution or air pollution-free relaxation times - thus producing high levels of stress for the young children, working families and retirees in the area.

The statement within the planning documents that "these operating hours would not result in unacceptable environmental impacts (eg noise, traffic and lighting)" is ludicrous and plain wrong. This proposal provides no consideration for the well being of the local residents and should not be approved.

I wish to lodge my objection to the above proposal on the following grounds.

NOISE
There is no quiet way of unloading Trucks or Skip Bins containing rubble, rail ballast, timber, scrap metal or glass.
The number of vehicles together with the associated operating facility could exceed the Camden Council Noise Policy.

ODOURS.
Garden waste from householders and building sites could easily be starting to break down when they are received

HEALTH RISKS
Noise levels indicated in the Acoustic Report may reach 58db

AIR POLLUTION
Dust and toxic pollutants generated during processing will blow over a large area of Currans Hill and cause Health issiues

HIGH FIRE RISKS
