I write to you as a dedicated Sydney FC fan, and I would like to voice my concerns regarding the proposed increase in concert caps at Allianz Stadium from 6 to 20. I respectfully urge the government to take into account the following points before making any decision on this matter:

First and foremost, it is crucial to recognize Sydney FC's status as a paying tenant of Allianz Stadium. The club holds a significant presence, playing a minimum of 14 home games at the stadium each season. The very reason for the construction of Allianz Stadium includes its role as a sporting venue, and it is unacceptable that the major tenant, and the sole summer tenant, would face eviction or fixture clashes due to concerts.

Sydney FC boasts an average attendance of 19,000 passionate fans, with countless others supporting the club from various regions. It is imperative that these loyal supporters are considered when contemplating changes to the concert cap. This involves careful deliberation on potential fixture rescheduling and the maintenance of pitch quality, both of which directly affect the overall fan experience.

Any alteration to the concert cap without due consideration for Sydney FC could put the club's financial stability and revenue streams at risk. Such consequences could have a ripple effect, potentially compromising the club's competitiveness and diminishing the enjoyment of us fans.

Furthermore, I express my sincere concerns about the condition of the pitch and the overall quality of the sporting product after concerts take place. Maintaining a top-notch pitch is not only vital for player safety and performance but also for the satisfaction of us devoted supporters.

Lastly, it is essential to acknowledge Sydney FC's active engagement in the community, where we play a pivotal role in promoting football and health awareness. Any reduction in the club's revenue due to changes in the concert cap could negatively impact our community outreach initiatives.

In conclusion, I respectfully implore the government to reconsider the proposal to increase the concert cap at Allianz Stadium. Sydney FC represents more than just a football club; it symbolizes the heart of our city and brings immense pride to its supporters. I urge you to safeguard the interests of our club and its dedicated fans by preserving the existing concert cap of 6 and upholding the cherished sporting legacy of Allianz Stadium.

As a fan of Sydney FC, I urge the NSW Govt to reconsider the proposed change in concert caps at Allianz Stadium from 6 to 20. Sydney FC, as a paying tenant of the stadium, is deeply concerned about the potential ramifications of such a decision, and I implore you to take the following points into serious consideration:

First and foremost, I ask that you respect Sydney FC's significant presence at Allianz Stadium. The club plays a minimum of 14 home games there each season, which serves as a testament to the integral role sport plays in the very reason for the stadium's construction. As the major tenant and the sole summer tenant of Allianz Stadium, any clash between concerts and our fixtures is simply unacceptable.

Sydney FC boasts an average attendance of 19,000 enthusiastic fans, with many thousands more supporting the club from other locations. It is crucial that these passionate supporters are given the consideration they deserve when decisions regarding concerts are made. This includes careful deliberation on the possibility of moving fixtures and preserving the quality of the pitch, both of which directly impact the overall enjoyment experience for our supporters.

Changing the concert cap without due consideration for Sydney FC could place our beloved club at risk. It could result in financial losses and undermine the revenue streams that support the team's continued success. This, in turn, could lead to a reduced enjoyment experience for our loyal supporters and potentially hinder our ability to compete at the highest level.

Furthermore, I must express my concerns regarding the state of the pitch and the overall quality of the product after concerts have taken place. Ensuring the pitch remains in optimal condition is crucial for the safety and performance of our players and, by extension, the satisfaction of our fans.

Lastly, it is essential to recognize that Sydney FC is actively engaged in the community, spreading vital messages about football and health awareness. Any reduction in the club's revenue brought about by changes to the concert cap could negatively impact our community service initiatives.

In conclusion, I respectfully urge the government to consider the profound implications of increasing the concert cap at Allianz Stadium. Sydney FC is more than just a football club; it is an integral part of our city's identity and a source of immense pride for its supporters. I implore you to protect the interests of our club and its dedicated fans by maintaining the current concert cap of 6 and ensuring that the sporting heritage of Allianz Stadium is preserved.

The National Rugby League, as a neighbouring occupier and regular hirer of the Sydney Football Stadium, does not oppose the proposed changes.
We do, however, request that some conditions be imposed to mitigate any impacts from the additional concerts on rugby league’s ongoing use of the venue and our building’s proximity to the venue.
Please see further information in the attached.

I object to the project proposal SSD-9249-Mod-7 and SSD-9835-Mod-8. I am a resident of the area and every time there is a major event held at Sydney Football Stadium, this impacts on Cook Rd amenities available in the area.

I do not agree with increasing the number of concerts held from 6 to 20 per year. These concerts can be held at larger venues such as ICC or Sydney Olympic Park or any other venue that is deemed suitable, has adequate parking and does not disturb the serenity of paying local council residents.

During the main events parking is continually over run back to back on Cook Rd from participants, rubbish is dumped from alcoholic beverages on the street and broken glass is left in front of our main building and footpaths each time.

Sound checks are done at an extremely loud volume pre-event and on the event day that I can hear the sound checks with the apartment windows closed. This is only an issue when it is completed very late at night and the I do not agree with the new time moving from 7pm to 10pm. Many parents with young children do not want to be disturbed by sound checks and loud music during their bedtime routine or to hear the concert late into the night. The venue should ensure the checks are done at a reasonable volume and does not need to proceed to 10pm at night.

I also object to increasing the maximum concert length from 5 hours to 10hours, twice per year. This is already a problem with Centennial Park hosting similar events and closing down parts of the park for Private purposes. Let the major events continue to be held at Sydney Olympic Park as has previously been done.

An increase from 6-20 events per year is excessive for those in the high impact zone. It will bring excessive unbearable noise levels, total traffic chaos to residential streets in South Paddington. As a resident of 25+ years I can verify City of Sydney do not patrol parking during large events at the stadium and it is unlikely they will in the future. The only solution would be to close off streets in South Sydney (except residents).
I strongly object to concerts being increased to 10 hours twice a year. We already have a number of very loud, very long concerts at Centennial Park throughout the year as well as many sporting events.

The stadium provides the opportunity for more than sporting performances including musicians and performers. Together, these performances inject both commerce and lifeblood into the Eastern Suburbs and into greater Sydney.

Im a big supporter of turning allianz and scg into concert and sporting hubs. Its an injection in to the pubs and restaurants. We need more than 20 concerts and world class and domestic acts filling the stadiums regularly.

I am writing to express my wholehearted support for the proposed exhibition that aims to increase the concert cap so that you are able to bring Beyoncé to Sydney. As a resident and avid music enthusiast, I firmly believe that such an event would be of immense cultural and economic benefit to our city and its residents.

Beyoncé is not just a global music icon but also a symbol of empowerment, diversity, and creativity. Her performances have a remarkable ability to bring people together and transcend cultural boundaries. Hosting Beyoncé in Sydney would not only be a musical spectacle but also a celebration of unity and diversity.

Furthermore, the economic impact of such an exhibition cannot be understated. It would undoubtedly boost tourism, attract visitors from near and far, and stimulate the local economy. The hospitality and entertainment sectors, in particular, stand to gain significantly from the influx of concertgoers.

Additionally, the exhibition would enhance Sydney's reputation as a vibrant and culturally rich city. It would provide our residents with world-class entertainment options, creating memorable experiences for families, friends, and individuals alike.

I kindly request that you consider the immense positive impact that hosting Beyoncé in Sydney would have on our community. I urge you to support this initiative and do everything within your capacity to make it a reality. By supporting this exhibition, we not only enrich our cultural landscape but also foster economic growth and prosperity.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to the possibility of enjoying Beyoncé's extraordinary talents right here in Sydney.

To whom it may concern,

I am truly bewildered by the fact that this proposal has been accepted for discussion.
The amount of noise and light pollution that the Sydney Football Stadium has troubled residents of this area, over the years that it has been allowed to host concerts, is worrisome enough, without the possibility that it might be increased at all, let alone more than tripled.

Sydney’s entertainment life has been almost terminated, due to over regulation and over policing, destroying its’ communities cultural life, yet, these mammoth sport/entertainment corporate entities are increasingly allowed to increase their presence.

The lighting from these events floods the night sky with blinding light, throughout a vast area. We are in Crown Street Surry Hills and even though the stadium is a kilometre away the light is so intense we have to pull the blinds. Any time there is a concert at the stadium the sound travels as though it is a block away. You can hear the blasting sound of the MCs, band and crowd loud and clear.

So essentially there already is plenty of reason for complaint for what we have already put up with for years, but the idea of going from six events a year to twenty is ludicrous. Six events a year is bad enough, on top of the endless sporting events we have to put up with.

I also feel for the domestic and wild animals that have been and would be very strongly, and detrimentally, effected by these events, being that the venue is right alongside Centennial Park and Moore Park.

I ask you to please not allow this proposal to go ahead.

Best Regards

Kevin Purdy

We are writing to you to express our strong objection to the proposed modification of the restrictions imposed at the time of the rebuild of the SFS, such conditions having been prescribed following extensive community consultation. Good governance requires public trust in the processes employed in evaluating state significant infrastructure. Following less than a year of operation of the SFS, Venues NSW, the applicant now seeks to impair that trust overturning a previously agreed position.

How is it that less than a year after re-opening, the Sydney Football Stadium seeks to renege on restrictions to the number of concert performances it can hold?
Has there been a dramatic change in likely demand for concert venues that could not have been foreseen until now? Or did the SCG Trust simply fail to do its research?
Was it always planned to make a modest initial commitment and then treble the demand as soon as the new stadium was up and running?
The SCG Trust owes the community a good explanation.
Otherwise, the response to its demands should be a flat ”NO.” It should be told: you made a commitment. Stick to it.
If Sydney needs a major concert venue, why not Stadium Australia? It is more central than the SFS and better served by transport, public and private.
The SFS is in an area already under considerable (and steadily increasing) pressure from the SCG, the EQ, the Hordern Pavilion, the Moore Park playing fields and Centennial Park.
These venues generate noise, traffic overload and parking congestion that affects literally thousands of residents living in every direction.
Enough’s enough.

I have l lived beside the Stadium site for 45 years. I am tolerant to the activities on Moore Park. However this time the NSW Government is asking too much. In recent years traffic management, crowd control and noise abatement have become insufficient for the increased volume of spectators and the number of events. Some one will be killed trying to get across to catch a cab/lift, walk down from public transport or dodge the number of drunks staggering around the streets. And on top of this, government wants a bike path! I will continue to object until there is full accountability from Venues and Transport for the impacts on residents and visitors. Banning private vehicles from residential streets, more clearways and pedestrian supervision would be a start, as would more police. Otherwise leave the concerts/events level as they are (and stop inviting has-been performers - they are a nuisance attracting outlier audiences who come by private vehicles).

I think it's a great idea to increase the amount of concerts from 6 to 20. We will get more value from the huge investment in the rebuilding of the stadium.

Concerts held at Allianz Stadium create an enormous nuisance for surrounding suburbs. The noise travels long distances. We are in Randwick and our children cannot sleep when concerts are on. Many families and shift workers live in surrounding suburbs - this is a residential area not a commercial/industrial zone. The NSW Government allowing further disruption to the sleep and therefore the lives of many families and workers would be unacceptable and negligent, and the political backlash would be significant.

1. Broadly speaking, there is very little for the local community except downside.

Of course the proposal is essentially finding a use for a multibillion dollar stadium which was not recommended by any studies, but was commissioned seemingly for political reasons, and which government now needs to justify with increased activity.

The reality is that the local community will be forced to wear the additional functions which will be added to the new facility to justify its cost. As ever, the local community will suffer from increased and unreasonable noise and unmanaged additional traffic. .

2. Specifically, Increasing the concert cap from 6 to 20 per year means that we go from having a loud, late concert once every couple of months, to one nearly every fortnight.

It is unacceptable that the local community be the unwilling recipient of noise and increased traffic to that extent.

3. Not only will the concerts be more frequent, but they will be longer. Ten hours for a concert sounds like a nightmare of sustained and intrusive noise. Bass reverberations are hellish in built up areas with a lot of masonry.

Local experience of the entities that control the various stadia and local parklands is that they have no interest in the local community and do not respond in any meaningful way to complaints raised either at the time of concerts or before or after them.

4. Finish times for concerts and for sound tests (which often take place on the preceding day) will now continue until 10.00pm. This is a serious inconvenience for people with children, shift workers or those that sleep earlier than 10.00pm.

5. The Mardi Gras after party is most objectionable with no curfew at all. It really is the last word in the “suck it up and be happy” approach to the local community. It will also be the thin end of the wedge with, undoubtedly, more “must have” events without restriction or other restraints.

To repeat, this proposal will affect the local community unreasonably and detrimentally. It is unfair, unacceptable and will diminish the quality of life for those living around the facility. It should be rejected totally.
