Mod 1 - Lane Cove Road On-Ramp

In principle I agree with the additional provision of access - but you will notice the very large proposed turning circle which spreads the motorway condition onto what is otherwise an urban road. This is not acceptable.

The on-ramp should be tight, and join the intersection opposite in a rational manner that does not preface the vehicle at speed. Vehicles should turn onto the ramp as if turning the corner onto another street.

The allowance of a ramp with such an enormous free-left is dangerous for pedestrians and cyclists, and lets motorway users begin their high speed earlier than they should.

The proposal should be rejected and require redesign to better integrate as a piece of urban infrastructure - and not perpetuate the motorway condition on the city. It's simply not working hard enough.
