As a Singleton resident for 16 years with 3 children I support the application by the proponent to vary their conditions of approval. I can see no material impact from the proposed variation and it will improve the ongoing viability of a long term employer in the area.
Approving this variation will mean keeping existing direct and indirect local jobs and it will allow Integra to continue to have a positive economic impact on the Singleton LGA.
The benefits to the overall community of this operation far outweigh the impacts.

Dear Sir,
WE opose the application by Vale for moderfications at their Integra North Pit.Firstly it is just over two years since the pit comenced mining and they are wanting change to the original E.A. and approvals. They were illegally dumping too high and got caught, instead of removing the extra hieght they apply for a moderfication to increase the approval height. We believe being just to the north of the pit we will experience extra noise and dust with both of these at unacceptable levels at present.
We also oppose any change to the present biodiversity areas as the northern area gives us some buffer between the mine and ourselves.Although the biodiversity area is not managed or looked after in reguard to weeds and feral animals it dose give us some assurance the mine will not bee coming closer to us than at present. My wife Kay is quite upset and is worried that if this area is changed that the open cut will move closer to our property with certinty that we would be purchased and forced to move from our home ,being mine for almost 56 years. It is not fair and reasonable that we should have to live with this over our heads causing undue stress. The company says it has no plans to mine this area at PRESENT but what in the FUTURE.
We are also dissappointed that the exibition period is for only 14 days just prio to Christmas when everyone is very busy and also only 1 advert in the local Argus to imform any residents of the application.Maybe I am just bloddy dumb but I could not find on the Planning web site where I could send an objection except on this page which I presume I will not have a copy
Thanging yoy Graeme and Kay Cheetham.
