I object to the increase of working hours on Saturday from 1pm to 5pm. Local Doncaster residents have long suffered from the noise, vibration and dust pollution from the light rail stabling yard construction. That has only just finished and now we are subjected to more noise and vibration and dust pollution from this student accommodation. Isn’t 5 and a half days enough building time? Surely the local residents need some respite from all that building activity for a day and a half - it is not a lot to ask for. This morning (4th June) I was woken up at 6am by the window vibrations caused by the start of construction at the site. We do not need this on our Saturday afternoons~ we should be able to enjoy some peace and quiet on the weekends and not be woken by jack hammers and hammers going off non stop all day.
Please do not approve the extension of construction hours on Saturday for all of the local residents mental well being.

I am concerned about the following:
1. Parking - it has been a nightmare for resident parking. The construction workers are parking all day in a 1 hour zone, even in the no stopping at 18 Doncaster and have not been penalized. Working on a Saturday with extended hours will continue to cause mayhem
2. Working longer hours on a Saturday - does this mean that there will be no further surprise work permits? For example the 6am starts or the 11pm finish times?
3. Whatever happened to the communication and consultation with community? Communication on a piece of paper dumped in the mailbox is not effective
4. Breach of working times - I can count on numerous occasions where work has started well and truly before 7am and exceeded past 6pm - again
5. Construction workers have blocked occasionally blocked off residential parking by using orange cones and tapes - this has not been addressed
5. Apart from adding a new demographic and adding additional working hours on Saturdays - I cannot seem to see the additional 'external' changes to the plan
