the planning proposal seeks rezoning of land on the southwestern corner of Lot 90 DP 1284877. The intent is to rezone the RE1 Public Open Space to R1 General Residential and adjust the minimum lot size map to match the surrounding pattern.

The RE1 land (informally known as Hawke Lane Park) is in private ownership and was originally identified in the Shiralee DCP masterplan to mitigate a flooding risk that has since been removed. The RE1 zone is therefore superfluous and the land is suited to housing.
