The proposal seeks to amend Narrabri LEP No 2 for Lot 18 DP 2854 and Lots 172/173 DP 540858, 42-46 Cooma Rd Narrabri from part 2(b) Residential, part 2(d) Residential and part 1(d) Rural Floodway to 3(a) General Business. The primary aim of this is to allow with consent use of the subject site for a building supplies/hardware business. The current zoning of the site prohibits commercial premises and shops. An allowance clause in Schedule 3 of the current LEP already permits a majority of the site (Lot 18 DP 2854) to be used for the sale of used cars.
