The subject land is currently zoned 7(d) Environmental Protection (Scenic) under Camden LEP No.48, which provides a scenic buffer between the urban areas of Camden and Campbelltown. Under this zone, residential development is not permitted. Purpose of Plan: The draft plan is known as Camden Local Environmental Plan 151 and covers the El Caballo Blanco and Gledswood site in the Central Hills District. The plan proposes to rezone the land from 7(d) Environmental Protection (Scenic) to R1 General Residential, R2 Low Density Residential, R5 Large Lot Residential, RE2 Private Recreation, RU2 Rural Landscape and SP3 Private Recreation, andfacilitiate the delivery of approximately 860 standard dwellings comprisingo 3 Rural Landscape (20,000mý min. per lot);o 17 Large Lot Residential (4,000mý min. per lot); o 30 General Residential (600mý min per lot); o 155 Low Density Residential (800mý min. per lot); and o 655 General Residential (4,000mý min per lot).
