To rezone Lot 1442 DP 543306 Torres Avenue, Whelan from R2 Low Density Residential to B1 Neighbourhood Centre and amend height of buildings and lot size controls consistent with adjoining business land. The land is 114sqm in area and is used as car park. It is privately owned by the adjoining B1 land owners. The lot size of 450 sqm and R2 zoning restricts the land to be amalgamated with adjoining commercial land and redeveloped for business purposes. The proposal will facilitate a mixed use development which is before Council of land with 4 residential units and approximately 250sqm retail/commercial floor space (approx. 8-10 full time jobs).
