I’m a resident of Piambong NSW a suburb that was included in the initial plans for Uungula Wind Farm. I’m opposed to this project & any other similar projects. Australia has a wealth of natural resources that could & should be used to generate affordable electricity. We happily export our natural resources to other countries for them to use as a method of generating electricity.
Why is it Australia refuses to use it own natural resources & our government at the expense of it residents subsides green energy projects ( Solar & wind farms). Wind farms are an inefficient & unsightly way of generating electricity.
Are both our State & Federal Governments trying to keep a small minority of the population happily or are we trying to meet a green energy target that other countries are worried about.
Is it any wondering Australia has increasing reliability on imported goods as our manufacturing industries are force to pay high operating costs (electricity) while we supply other countries with a means to generate affordable electricity.

I object to the fact that CWP Renewables have stated that the Cudgegong Rural Fire Service would be responsible for the control of any bush fires in and around the project.
This is incorrect as the area designated and outlined in their project submission is under the control of the Orana (Dubbo Headquarters) Rural Fire Service and the Wuuluman Rural Fire Service members are the first responders to this district pertained in the CWP Renewables Uungula Wind Farm Project.
This information needs to be corrected and updated for the safety and welfare of the Project contractors and for the local community in case of any bush fire emergencies in and around the Wind Farm area.

Dubbo Environment Group was formed in February 2020 and has 18 members. Our group has sent a submission to Dubbo Regional Council asking them to adopt a Net Zero Emissions policy. We strongly advocate for Climate Change action. We need to draw down our emissions quickly if we are to meet the Paris Agreement goal of below global average temperature of 1.5 degrees Celcius higher. Australia does not count the emissions which will be released from coal and gas exports and does not come close to the action required by the Paris Agreement. According to the ANU Crawford School of Public Policy our emissions have risen by 6% from 2005 - 2018 instead of falling.
In Dubbo, we had an average temperature of 1.8 degrees Celcius higher during the summer of 2019-2020. Our electorate of Parkes has been singled out as one of 5 Australian electorates to be most effected by Climate Change by ANU research. The Bureau of Meteorology records clearly show that the drought of 2019 was the most severe by more than 50% of previously recorded low rainfall events and that no 2 years of such low levels have ever run concurrently since 1900. We greatly fear the consequences of remaining complacent on carbon emissions upon bushfire events, drought, water reserves, extinction rates of flora and fauna, sea-level rises, agriculture and the quality of community life.
Our group welcomes any movement of the energy industry towards renewable energy and strongly supports the Unguula Wind Farm.

This project will assist our small country town in relation to employment and business growth. We are eager, however, to see that the Community Benefit Fund side of the project understands and engages with us and what we see as a vital project for the Wellington area. This is the provision of educational training and work opportunities for our youth through high school and beyond, in partnership if possible with other Aboriginal focussed training and employment organisations.
