As a resident of Robert Road Cherrybrook living here my 23 years i
strongly object to its proposed use as major access to the new
Cherrybrook station.
This will create public safety issues and will devalue all existing
property in this area. County Drive was constructed in in the early
1990s to serve as the major traffic access route in this local area
and seems fitting that it should remain so.
There is ample room for 2 lanes per direction which has been recently
modified for reasons unknown to me, but appears quite easily
reversible. County Drive already has traffic lights present for the
Castle Hill road and John road Junction , utilizing a large
multi-laned roundabout to link to Boundary Road, which is heavily used
road in Cherrybrook.
To me this road already seem ample to support possible large traffic
conditions with minimal alteration costs required. County drive also
has the potential for additional lanes to be added as it has a
generous median strip in the center.
Robert road does not presently possess, in my opinion, the ability to
safely expand for future increased traffic conditions.
