Minarah College

This project will be very beneficial for the growing community in Catherine Fields and surroundings.

I believe the Proposed Development of the Minarah College in Catherine Field is not in any way suitable for this area.
The following are some of my reasons:
There will be a lot of extra traffic to & from the Minarah College & the roads are already in need of repair.
There is no infrastructure to support stormwater, there is no sewerage connection & nothing from Sydney Water to say when it will be available.
The Development Proposal talks about a Wastewater Treatment Plant using spray irrigation until the sewerage connection becomes available. The irrigation area is too small when compared with the requirements imposed on Residents of catherine Field.
Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 7.00am-9.00pm & Saturday-Sunday 9.00am-10.00pm. These hours are totally unacceptable.
I believe the 2 Properties 268-278 Catherine Field Rd were probably purchased because they would have been much cheaper than buying land that was already earmarked for future school use.
Everyone knows we need more schools but they need to be in the right location with proper roads, infrastructure already in place, footpaths, kerbs & guttering, stormwater drainage system, sewerage connection & the school not jammed up close to neighbours on 3 sides.

I support the new campus because:
o The new school would be a positive addition to Catherine Field and the broader Western Sydney community,
where Islamic faith-based schools are in high demand.
o Minarah College has a long and proud history of contributing to the local community, including through
participation in Anzac Day commemorations, fundraising activities for charities like the Cancer Council,
donating to Foodbanks, and visiting older people in residential care. I have no doubt that it will do the same at
Catherine Field.
o Minarah College Green Valley has shown itself to be a great place for learning. In 2020, it topped the list of
best performing schools in Liverpool based on NAPLAN results. Students attending Catherine Fields Campus
will benefit high quality learning which will support the growing demand for the skilled workforce of Western
Sydney.

I support the new campus as the new school would be a positive addition to Catherine Field and the broader Western Sydney community, where Islamic faith-based schools are in high demand. Western Sydney families also deserve to have convenient access to quality education and the proposed Campus would help meet this need.

Minarah College, Catherine Fields will be a valuable asset to the local community. It will bring modern teaching and learning facilities to a fast growing area of Sydney. The young people of the area deserve new, modern classrooms and Minarah will offer these. Also, the College will be a great place to work for people in the area, offering a wide range of employment opportunities, especially for teachers. I see great things happening at this College.

This project will be beneficial for the community as a whole and cater for needs of growing school population.

It is a very good course for the growing community in the area.
