Karuah East Quarry supports the local community through regular sponsorships and provides ongoing employment opportunities. To support the longevity of Karuah East Quarry and in-turn various construction, landscaping, concreting & asphalting companies as well as ongoing government projects, MOD10 must be approved. In the Long-term, the approval will provide immeasurable benefits to the local community.

The MOD10 proposal will support the local and regional construction industry and support local employment.
Karuah is a small community and the applicant supports and sponsors a number of local organisations and groups. Noting that MOD10 is important for the long term efficiency of the KEQ, the community supports the MOD10 proposal.

RE: ICAG Inc. objects to the proposed MOD 10 of Hunter Quarries - Karuah East Quarry, ICAG Inc. "claiming submitters rights".

We are lodging our objection to the above project entirely and will forward further objection documentation as we can.

We request please a hard copy of all documentation to this proposed quarry and 200 USB EIS copies.

This is proposing to be in new bushland areas and inside the offset area, which should not be approved at all.

All offset areas must be "Offset in Perpetuity" and must not be impacted in any way including having bushland set on fire as Duralie Coal does/Yancoal , which they do every year or beginning of following year, in the offset area and should not be doing this at all!

Yours sincerely

"claiming submitters rights to lodge further objections against this proposed project"

I Amanda Albury object to the proposed extensions of Hunter Quarries Karuah East Quarry MOD10. The area they want to destroy on these properties is the offset areas, that should NEVER be impacted at all in any size or shape on their mapping/photos in their documentation.

This must be refused. Offsets must be put in "offset in perpetuity" and must not be impacted in any way, and by anything, drilling, irrigating dirty/clean water from dirty water holding pits, or surface run off water. This is a classic example of Hunter Quarries trying to seek approval to destroy more bushland areas, creeks, kill wildlife in properties that are offset areas on their maps.

If the Gov. approves such catastrophic approvals it is also a mockery for offset areas. Hunter Quarries must be forced to put all their offset areas in "offset in Perpetuity". This must also include no vehicles, no haul roads of any vehicles, and NO BURNING BUSHLAND OFFSET AREAS, AS DURALIE COAL DOES. All offset areas of ALL companies must be 'offset in perpetuity! The merits of approving this is not in the best interest of keeping the corridor across their driveway on Lot 5 etc open. If the Government allows this to be approved, the wildlife will be pushed to Blue Rock Close and the highways timber fence that has large sections of fence missing, which allow all wildlife to get through these gaps and get run over on the north side of the Pacific Highway. Another issue I keep addressing, yet the gaps remain. This timber fence is not adequate to keep any animals including Koala's off the Highway, the fence should be a wildlife fence with top rollover to stop climbing animals and should be higher. This should be done and Hilton Grugeon and Michael Keily should also be putting funds into having this happen, considering they have destroyed vast areas of bushland already, the wildlife fence along the Pacific Highway is not adequate has holes that people can literally walk through without crouching down as the fence sections are completely missing. This needs to be fixed, regardless of what these companies/people do, regardless of whether they get approval or not. The wildlife fencing needs to be fixed effective immediately.

We are 11.4 km away from Hunter Quarries pit, and cliffs north of Old Karuah Red etc. We are already impacted by the dust, yet their documentation talks only about a 4km radius of impacts, which is stupidly wrong! I have requested for over 17+ years for Government to come to our place and this has not happened. Their documentation is false in what they have written, to not write that dust travels and impacts us and people further than us is criminal in my books, that the documents are giving a false witness to what this company is already doing to people, dust and noise impacts from people impacted in Tarrean Road Karuah is horrendous, shaking their homes from the ground up, noise that the TV at 100 you cannot hear over the crusher noise sounding like a jet fighter plane hovering over a persons home, the noise and vibrations only turning off, when the machinery is turned off.

When did the submission period take place for them to extend their operating hours? Their extension of blasting hours? All been done for Hunter Quarries without me knowing as a property already impacted and the health impacts we are already suffering from Hunter Quarries Hilton Grugeons rock mine quarry that we look at from our home/property. Please advise how these approvals happened in 2020 and 2021, when I heard nothing about these submission periods to modify etc. This is therefore not being honest, transparent and if what I have read is infact what Government have approved without the very community impacted already by Hilton Grugeons rock mine quarries, then this entire approval process must be rescinded.

To come to an RMS building and stand up as I am doing at their computer is most unacceptable. This is not the right way to do submission periods for people that have little to no internet, yet the DPIE already knows that, as you have been advised by many people, including people at the meeting in December 2021 Limeburners Creek Hall.

I have requested a hard copy of all documentation for the Woodbury's proposed quarry and request the same for this submission period of Hilton Grugeons Hunter Quarries. You should have also written Hunter Quarries in your letter Jessie, as this would have clarified what rock mine quarry your letter referred too. North, South, East and West in the same area is MOST confusing.

I am also requesting that I am sent USB sticks of the EIS that I can hand around urgently .

I am also lodging complaint, that once again you notified us after the fact. This is rude and shameful and done to the benefit of you all helping the mining company at the expense of the community, property owners to be impacted.

I did send you an email on 21st July 2022, I had no response. I also left a message for James. I have had no response. I do hope that you receive an email from one of your colleagues and do actually now return my call.

Your submission periods are a sick system designed to withhold information from the property owners, residents community that will be impacted, including community groups that operate for an on behalf of the natural environment that can't defend itself against wrongful government approvals and ruthless individuals/companies that do not care about the impacts, deaths, sicknesses, they cause wildlife, animals or people.

As I have no way of keeping a copy of this, please forward to: [email protected]

To expect people to come to the RMS building as I have done today, to get something to the department is beyond ridiculous.

You are all aware that we have little to no internet ability in the areas that are or will be impacted by Hunter Quarries Hilton Grugeon already 22.4 km away from us, impacts us with dust from cliffs, pit and blasting. Yet we are not notified ahead of blasting, still in 2022. The proposed areas we will also see from our property and are parallel with our house.

Michael Kiely Karuah South Quarry, Mark Woodbury & family proposed quarry seeking to destroy bushland/areas around Deep Creek and surrounding areas, including Forest Glen Road properties and roads, ways, drives etc around us will all be catastrophically impacted, if any of these are approved also. The amount of wildlife that will be killed with any of these projects if approved would be in numbers undocumented and a continued shameful act on the State Government Departments to approve such catastrophic impacts to the natural environment.

The pictures of the suspended particles in the creeks that run into Yallimba Creek and/or Bulga Creek from HUNTER QUARRIES IS disgusting. Seen in their documentation. Why on earth would any person working in any Government Department think this is alright to continue to do to our natural environment. Stop the continued destruction and stop these disgraceful developments.

This is the first part of my objection, as my home computer has been broken into again by the faceless people that show me they are in my computer at times opening up pull down windows at a rapid rate, my mouse completely out of my control. My computer being accessed remotely by people that I have not given approval to do so. Therefore their aim is to stop me lodging my objections against these unacceptable and inappropriate developments that destroy our natural environment forever and slaughter wildlife, with each and every Government Departments employees signatures.

Hilton Grugeon has already contaminated our drinking water. He has already dusted us constantly over the last 7+ years. He has cost us a lot of money as government and council have in approving him in the first place. His dust is trespassing over our property inside our home and in our tank water.

I will be forwarding hard copy of my objections from now on.

Thank you
Amanda Albury
