I support this recycling centre development, it will help boost the local economy and will provide more jobs for locals. We are always in the need for more recycling and less waste so any development that can help with this problem should get the go ahead. It's nothing but a positive move for our environment.

This development got a lot of negative press in the area because of a group who owns a lot of land and want to sell it for their own profits. They told a lot of lies about dangerous waste and asbestos and the negative effect it will have on the environment. After a bit of reading and speaking to locals, I've come to realise that this is actually a good thing and should have all our support. They have made some very respectful changes to the development application to address some of the concerns of the community, including dust suppression and quality controls, and they aren't actually taking any hazardous materials. In fact, this will be a BENEFIT to the environment, because materials which can be recycled will not end up in landfill, but reused for local projects. I hope that more people came to the same realisation that I have, and they see through the lies and manipulation of that group.

It's about time we get a decent building waste recycling facility up on the Central Coast. For too, long people have had to drive long distances to get rid of waste which could be recycled, and this has ended up in people either dumping it into landfill, or finding other ways to get rid of it (e.g. illegally dumping it somewhere).

I completely support this development proposal. It is ideally located in the industrial estate next to the freeway and will be a great source of landscaping materials. I don't see any risk of pollution as the facility is only accepting inert materials, and the crushing is being conducted in an enclosed environment. I know how these facilities are operated and air quality is not an issue. On very dry or windy days, there are dust mitigation procedures, and none of the particles pose a risk as it is from brick, concrete and soils. I hope this development goes through to completion as it is a great benefit to the area.

This is a great opportunity for the local area. It’s fantastic to see business setting up in this economic climate. This will creat local jobs at the same time as recycling unwanted waste. Good on you guys, keep up the good work.
