I object to the current ill conceived renewable path for our energy needs. It is a highway with no end!
The entire concept that you can generate the quantity of energy to meet our and the worlds energy demands by wind and solar is flawed! You do not have to be an Einstein to work this out. Just do the simple maths to arrive at the fact that real laws of physics will not allow it. It is physically impossible; therefore start thinking (in a hurry) of what is possible.
A practical approach to the problem such as:
Clean burn coal
Nuclear
Gas
The end result of this is an economy that will flourish, growing, supporting and PROTECTING our nation, not weakening out very being from every angle by losing agricultural land, bastardising our resources, opening the opportunity of another nation to obtain these resources by force!
Efficiently using the hydrogen dream is a long way off – Japan has been working on hydrogen production for the last 20 years – storage being one of the biggest problems - hydrogen can even seep through glass and takes massive amounts of energy to produce, not withstanding that currently most hydrogen is produced from fossil fuels, so where is the gain?
I fully realise the end result is a wonderful goal but the road to achieve the end result presently expends more energy than is recoupable so is a continuing lose/lose effort - Very good for the likes of Twiggy Forrest laughing all the way to the bank with his tax payer funded billion dollars. Not overlooking the economy destroying, hypocritical Green religion being shrieked by folk with no understanding of the indisputable laws of physics!
This is the greatest worldwide confidence trick since Charles Ponzi and the current Covid 19 excesses.

Hydrogen generation is both physically and economically flawed. It is a total waste of tax payers money because the hydrogen atom is so small it can never be safely stored or transported on a commercial basis. What we need is the existing reliable affordable and safe base-load generation to be topped up with nuclear. Not unaffordable dangerous hydrogen fuel.
