I don't agree with the location of this project being so close to my home town. I believe it is detrimental to the social environment in Bendemeer, already breaking friendships, it would also be damaging to the ecology, including rare birds and the endangered Bell turtles in the MacDonald River, not to mention the river itself, granite soil is very prone to erosion when disturbed and the silting up of the river would be devastating not only to the river itself but also the town water supply

The New England - Is exactly that - beautiful countryside that is representative of English countryside as appropriately named. I'm 43 and have had the pleasure of living near Bendemeer, Armidale, Scone, Tamworth, Tenterfield and visiting family and friends at Bendemeer attending events and social gatherings at the Showgrounds and the Local pub. I have also had the privilege of living in country England. I have also had the privilege of living in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, would you place solar panels in Rushcutters Bay Park or in Centennial Parklands or possibly along the Hawkesbury. Maybe even at the GAP or along or throughout Berry and Bowral! The Southern Highlands could be renamed the Solar Highlands, I don’t think so.

We can have beautiful producing seasons in Bendemeer, and we can also have dry fire seasons do you understand that fire will roar in dry times up that hill as it has done incinerating the solar panels, there has been bee multiple devastations in various parts only a couple of years ago from fire and flood. 'Really'????????

Placing renewable energy hubs all over our beautiful countryside is not supporting this country, the infrastructure comes from overseas, and the profits go back overseas, and the jobs dry up, look at what’s happened in GLEN INNES - and how ugly that looks now. One of most beautiful old-world towns steeped in history and architecture, surrounded with wind turbines that are already falling apart. Absolutely devastating.

Bende is such a pretty town and a little tourist village with more and more things happening do you think people are going to book social gatherings at the pub or the bowls club and enjoy reflective blinding views of the glistening solar panels, 'I don't think so". Or the people who used their life savings and have built their dream homes to enjoy the sunrises as it emerges up over the tree lined hills. Seriously it is absolute stupidity building solar farms on or near

Hills
Prime Agricultural Land
Waterways
Towns
Rivers
Villages
Forests

Let alone our beautiful New England and least of all our stunning picturesque town of Bendemeer!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This state governments is exercising policy on the run with no foresight – and they came blame all sides of governments past and present and politicians can virtue signal their green revolution, there is nothing green about these structures, just the vegetation and wildlife and countryside they tarnish and pollute, and when they are obsolete, its landfill. How is this ZERO Emissions ????????? Ask your green virtue signally conscience that when you’re sleeping at night and think about how many lives and incomes are lost from your littering solar and wind projects. The renewable project is like marrying for money its shiny at the start and then it’s a bitter divorce grappling for the pre-nuptial agreement all the lawyers get the money (the overseas investors companies / government tax ) and nothings left but debt and devastation (countryside and the people)

Look what’s happening around the world the countries cannot not meet their targets and are pulling away from NET ZERO and they realise that they have no base power reliability and the transition, the green revolution is an economic depression emerging like a malignant cancer and will send this country into recession as it proceeds on this war path just doing what others do.

Put the bloody panels and the turbines in the freaking desserts you morons.

As a Bendemeer resident for all my life, I do NOT want our beautiful landscape ruined by Solar Farms.
I believe there are better areas that will be more suitable.
During the winter months solar panels will be absolutely useless, the surrounding mountains will also decrease the sunlight. Making this project a waste of time/money/resources and our land will be ruined.

If the wind turbines are out of sight of local residents, and far enough away from residences for any humming cumulation of audible noise to be heard by them, it might be feasible to place them in this area. The construction phase will be a problem for residents of Bendemeer, Walcha Road, Woolbrook and of course Walcha. Local residents use the Oxley Highway as it is the main transport road joining these towns and surrounding localities. IF THE PROJECT OWNERS ARE FORCED TO PAY FOR A PRIVATE ROAD TO ACCESS THEIR RENEWABLE ELECTRICITY FACTORY, IN ORDER TO GAIN PLANNING PERMISSION, IT WOULD BE LESS INTRUSIVE FOR THIS PART OF THE NEW ENGLAND. If native forest is being cleared, along with the dependent wildlife , that is totally unacceptable. If these monstrosities are being placed on cleared land it is more acceptable, provding local land holders agree to it.

I support this the Bendemeer Solar Farm Project. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the New England region, being located in the New England Renewable Energy Zone (REZ), to:
- Diversify its economy;
- Support and increase the local population;
- Counter the potential threats of climate change by moving away from non-renewable energy production, thereby reducing carbon/greenhouse gas emissions; and
- See flow-on social, economic and environmental benefits from the Project, and others like it.

The fact that the proponent is allowing for the ongoing use of the Project area for agricultural productivity is a positive outcome to ensure the agricultural integrity of the region is maintained and reduce the removal of land from the agricultural industry.

Furthermore, the commitment to develop and implement a Local Employment Plan and establish a Community Benefit Fund administered by a Community Benefit Fund Committee as part of the Voluntary Planning Agreement for the Project should also be recognised for its benefit to the local and regional community.

I object to the project on the basis of location, impact on neighbors, impact on surrounding land prices, use of agricultural land for such projects, lack of community consultation and negative impact on multi-generational relationships.

I object to the location of the planned solar and wind farm. Particularly concerned about the size and scale of the wind farm and being only 2 kilometres or less from the village. Residents will be impacted in many ways, including but not limited to, the visibility of the wind towers, noise, lights, traffic, industrial activity, risk of bush fire triggers in a very dry environment and also further destruction of the environment and wildlife habitat.

The small village of Bendemeer is the wrong place for a solar farm. There are too many farms that boarder or are in close proximity to the proposed site. Not only would this be an eye sore from their properties, but would de value their land. To build the solar farm in the proposed location would be to destroy agricultural land and natural habitat of threatened native species such as koalas. This loss of biodiversity would have dire effects on the natural environment.

The solar farm should be placed somewhere else that does not boarder farms and create an eye sore. Somewhere that the natural habitat does not have to be destroyed to create this farm.

The noise this is going to make let alone the effect it is going to have to our beautiful country and our water source is not going to be a good effect for bendemeer let alone the eye sore it’s going to make and the damage to wildlife. The people who live opposite these also are the ones that are directly affected and property values would not hold greatly with having this as well.
