DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING INDUSTRY AND ENVIRONMENT

The primary objective of the Planning Proposal is to amend the written instrument and mapping of Campbelltown Local Environmental Plan 2015 (CLEP 2015) to align with the Western City District Plan.

The Western City District Plan identifies a number of planning priorities that Councils are required to meet as part of the LEP Review.
The Planning Proposal is also seeking to repeal other Local Environmental Plans and Interim Development Orders so that only one Local Environmental Plan applies to the Campbelltown Local Government Area. These were ‘deferred matters’ when Campbelltown Local Environment Plan, 2015 was made.
Other changes propose to protect the environment, incorporate health objectives, protect the scenic hills and amend other clauses in CLEP 2015.
The Department of Planning, Infrastructure and Environment is authorised to make the plan.
