Burwood Council

Council is publicly exhibiting a Planning Proposal to make three amendments to the Burwood Local Environmental Plan (BLEP) 2012 as follows:
1. Rezone properties in Sym Avenue Burwood and on the northern side of Livingstone Street Burwood from R2 Low Density Residential to R1 General Residential, with corresponding building height and floor space ratio (FSR) standards, amended Building Height Plane controls and additional local provisions; and rezone properties on the southern side of Livingstone Street Burwood from R2 to R3 Medium Density Residential, also with corresponding building height and FSR standards and additional local provisions.
2. Rezone a majority of properties on the northern side of Mitchell Street Enfield within the Mitchell and Kembla Streets Heritage Conservation Area from R3 Medium Density Residential to R2 Low Density Residential.
3. Update the Heritage Schedule and Map in the BLEP for the former Masonic Temple building at 45 Belmore Street Burwood.
