Upper Hunter Strategic Assessment

The NSW Government is seeking feedback on the draft terms of reference for the Upper Hunter Strategic Assessment project (under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999), which aims to improve biodiversity outcomes from coal mining proposals. The NSW and Commonwealth governments have agreed to work together to provide a region-wide response to biodiversity impacts from coal mining proposals in the region.
