Draft Wilton Town Centre Precinct Rezoning

The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment has worked with Wollondilly Shire Council and State agencies to prepare a draft planning package for Wilton.  

The draft planning package includes:  

•  The draft Wilton Town Centre Precinct Structure Plan; 
• A discussion paper outlining the rezoning proposal for the Wilton Town Centre Precinct; and  
• Additions to the draft Wilton Growth Area Development Control Plan 2019 (previously exhibited in August 2019).  

The Wilton Town Centre Precinct rezoning proposal includes a major retail and commercial centre providing jobs and services, about 1,600 new homes, land for a new public school, a central bus terminal and the protection of environmentally sensitive land.   

The draft planning package was on public exhibition from 6 November to 17 December 2020.

All submissions and feedback will be carefully considered during finalisation of the planning package.
