I am objecting to this project on the following grounds:
Industrial scale development in a predominantly rural area. Converting the rural environment into an Industrial style landscape.
Causing long term discord within our community. Majority of community is against this project,
Uncertainty for landowners relating to future land use, entitlements, responsibilities, decommissioning etc,
Environment impacts of this size and capacity are still unknown, especially to birds, koalas, bats, wombats, bees, soil health and waterways. Covering our productive land with glass can not be healthy for future farming uses nor the environment ie extra heat and energy rebound
Huge negative impact on Landscape including Tourism prospects
Unfair burden on our region to provide power to cities.
Ruin our landscape and future land use.
Obsolescence of the technology is unknown and highly likely will result in landscape littered with solar farm waste.
Economic gains are not assured and renewable s are not the cost savings that are advocated.
Will only generate intermittent power as great expense to our community and environment.
Cumulative risks outweigh the gains (if any).
