In response to Application SSD-7942-MOD-2 and proposed modification i STRONGLY OBJECT to:
1. An extension of construction hours to allow work on Sunday and Public Holidays between 7am to 5pm
2. Allow internal works within the buildings between 5pm and 7am Monday to Sunday
The reasons for my objections are:
a/ increased noise and impact on residential properties at Newington.
Poor noice containment and ineffective noise management persisted and have already been evident during an early stages of this development.
b/ increased traffic movements and additional disturbance to patrons and visitors to the Sydney Olympic Park Parklands
c/ adverse impact on leisure and recreation time and using Parklands during weekends and public holidays

I object to all areas of modification sought. The additional fill on site will be unsightly and will pose an environmental issue with dust and debris already blowing onto road and into air. I also object to additional work hours during the weekend and at night. Our suburb directly adjoins work site and noise, truck and additional traffic during this time will be distruptive to our weekend enjoyment. Hill rd is only and main arterial road to wentworth point and is already heavily congested on weekends, without additional workers being on site.

I am in favour of the project. I object only to the recent application (SSD-7942-MOD-2) for the extension of working hours. I don't support construction works being conducted on Sundays or public holidays. The noise is already disturbing the peace on the days the construction site currently operates on. It would be nice to have at least 1 day per week when construction noise doesn't occur on.

We do not support the application to allow extended times and works to the Open Water Surf Facility locate at Pod B P5 Car Park on Hill Road Sydney Olympic Park.
The building works which are currently being carried out can be clearly heard in Newington during week days. The residents should not be impacted because the projected is running behind schedule and now requesting extended hours to carry out their works.
These proposed times will impact all surrounding residents and the works will be clearly heard on Sunday or Public holiday if the proposed times of 7am and 5pm on Sundays or internal works within the buildings between 5pm and 7am Monday to Sunday if are approved.
It is unacceptable to have a start time of 7am on a Sunday or Public Holiday, when most residents are home and in many cases the only day they have to relax and enjoy the serenity of their peaceful environment in which they chose to live in.
We can not understand why this is even an option being discussed in a residential area.

Waste of water, excessive noise and traffic congestion. Very close to residential and will create an environmental issue.
No to extended and after hours of construction.

Project will create noise and have an impact on surrounding residents mental health specifically if works are allowed to continue around the clock.
The location chosen whilst on a “entertainment precinct” is poor as it is adjacent a wetland preserve that provides open space to a residential area.
And noise restrictions put in place are likely to have little to no effect based on previous approvals for Events like ninja warrior that were allowed to run until 5 am disturbing adjoining residents
Original approvals were slipped through without neibours being notified please do not allow this to be further compounded

I object to the extension of construction hours to allow work on Sundays and public holidays between 7am and 5pm. Local residents are already subjected to considerable construction noise and we should have a break on Sundays and public holidays.
i am also concerned that internal building works maycreate noise for local residents betwewn 5pm and 7am, 7 days per week. If that is possible then i object to local residents being subjected to further noise pollution.
Thank you for the opportunity to object.

I object to the revised submission to extend the working hours for the project to include Sunday and Public Holiday work and evening/overnight indoor work.
We live in line of sight to the project and the noise of the project carries to our property.
I do not object to the other items in the updated submission.

Being roughly 500 metres from the site at Barrington 9 Blaxland Avenue NEWINGTON we are the closest residential property to this ongoing noisy project.

In all reality I feel we residents require weekend and public holiday breaks from this disruption.

Personally I am being treated fro Prostate Cancer and require a reasonable amount of sleep and rest time.

As this project seems to be going on for much longer than proposed I feel you are not being fair and reasonable to the residents of this building.

I would like your views and response to this submission

The association committee noticed that there are alterations to the original plans appear to be an enlargement of the original plans which will have flow on effects for the community which include:
1. Increased traffic using Hill Road and Holker Street. The community requests traffic lights at the intersection of Hill Road and the Avenue of Oceania as part of the traffic upgrade to accommodate the increased traffic to the Wave Centre.
2. Increased bus traffic.
3. Increased demand on parking and the committee’s concerned that users of the Wave Centre will seek to park in their residential streets to the North of their precinct. They require assurance this will not happen.
4. Additional noise pollution.
In conclusion, the community associations of Newington can likely support these facilities if the parking issues and especially traffic light requirements were solved.
