The school will provide ongoing jobs for teachers and for tradesman during construction period. The project has a 60-student early learning centre that will contribute to the new government policy of extending education to year 4 children and in the process increase womens’ participation in the workforce.

I do not support the idea of a major development on Catherine Fields road.
I have attached:
a) a video showing a bus drive to the middle of Springfield road to miss a pot hole
b) a video showing a car slow down to almost stop and drive to the middle of the road on Springfield road to prevent driving through a pot hole
c) video footage of the condition of roads from the traffic lights on Camden Valley way Catherine Field along Catherine Fields road to show poor condition of the roads and evidence of patchwork to repair damaged roads
d) a photo of Catherine Fields road being closed due to flooding
e) evidence of Catherine Fields road being a 'narrow rural road'
f) access to Camden Council information (GIPA) pertaining to constant road repairs reported and conducted throughout Catherine Field
g) A Road safety report covering the poor condition of roads throughout Catherine Field
h) my submission in relation to childcare not being defined
i) an review of EIS & SIA documents in relation to the application

I have also sent via email to our state member Peter Sidgreaves showing a total of 114 signatures from locals who object to the DA and did not receive proper notification from the applicant. I have not included this as it contains private and confidential information of residents who do not want their personal information on public display.

I believe that this Development is in contrasts with Camden Council Environment Plan 48 that was issued 28/12/01.
This development does not maintain the agricultural productivity of the Municipality of Camden to encourage further development of agriculture within a frame work of appropriate Environment safeguards.
It does not conserve the environmental heritage significance of Camden’s rural Land. It doesn’t maintain the rural atmosphere of the area. I believe that a Development of this size will be an eye saw & will not fit in within the Landscape of surrounding buildings.
I believe that there is an inadequate Infrastructure within the area to Support a Development of this size. This would be Significant cost for the Camden council to upgrade roads and other facilities.
I’m also concerned about the increase of Waste & Sewerage. Catherine Field is not connected to Town Sewerage. If we have a situation as the recent floods in the area, large amounts of sewerage stored on site could wash up in flooded water, causing many health problems for the community.
This development would also considerably disturb the Landscape which will contribute to large amounts of run off water. This I believe would increase the risk of flooding the area.
There is a strong community belief that the school will also have a Mosque for praying. This will also impact on street Parking, Congestion & access to neighbouring properties.
A large Development of this size in the quiet rural surroundings would cause a huge environmental Impact. This I believe will cause many complaints in the future, ie Noise, pollution, Heavy traffic & sewerage odour. This in time will lower land values of neighbouring properties as seen in other councils.
I also believe that under Camden Environmental Plan 48. Education Establishments are prohibited.

Many elderly owners have purchased or have owned neighbouring properties for many years and look forward to living out their retirement years in quiet and Harmonious surroundings. A Development of this size will be the opposite. This will be due to the increased Traffic, pollution & noise.

The new school will be great to have in the local community.

Me and my wife have 14 grandchildren and would like to see our younger grandchildren to be enrolled into a local Islamic School that is close to home for convenience purposes. Currently, the Islamic Schools that are open in the MacArthur region are crowded and by having more Islamic schools will cater the growing younger population.

Minarah College Green Valley has shown itself to be a great place for learning. In 2020, it topped the list of
best performing schools in Liverpool based on NAPLAN results. Students attending Catherine Fields Campus
will benefit high quality learning which will support the growing demand for the skilled workforce of Western
Sydney.

The new school would be a positive addition to Catherine Field and the broader Western Sydney community, where
Islamic faith-based schools are in high demand.
