In reference to the M12 motorway development and the southbound exit ramp onto the M7, I am gravely concerned regarding the proposal to locate the south bound off ramp onto the M7 above the ridgeline at Cecil Hills. This will expose us and our neighbours who are within 100m or less of the ridgeline to unbearable amounts of light and noise pollution. Such a proposal would have a significant effect on our future property values. We believe that the driver for this proposal is one of cost and is in effect shifting the cost burden for this project from state and federal governments to local residents through diminished house values without any form of compensation. This represent an unfair burden to be borne by local residents and should be reconsidered. We have already seen the effect of improved roadways with increased traffic volumes and noise on the wider Elizabeth Drive west bound from 5am everyday of the week. The expected noise from this major arterial road once the airport is completed will be unbearable . Although we support the development of the motorway holistically the M7/M12 on ramps need to be reconsidered.

The attached submission is made on behalf of Boyuan Holdings Limited in relation to a landholding in which they hold an interest at 1953 - 2109 Elizabeth Drive, Badgerys Creek. Given that this landholding is one of the most significantly affected by the proposed M12 alignment, we request that BHL is able to maintain an open line of communication with both the DPIE and RMS/TFNSW in relation to the matters raised submission throughout the assessment process and to submit additional information to support its submission if required.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have a very big concern about the noise increase from the traffic influx to M7 as a result of M12 motorway traffic flow.

my concern is there are sections in M7 including the one opposite to my place have no noise block like glass wall barriers, the level of current noise is unacceptable over 85 decibels, as you are aware in the standards anything above 80 decibels is considered harmful to the human ears!

So what I am requesting is to make your study of the current noise level to my area especially the section of Clarence Dr & Dobroyd Dr in Elizabeth Hills and estimate the increase in traffic (especially trucks and transport with low frequency noise) and then provide the impact statement due to the increase in traffic to our community with evidence and provide solution

kindly look into the matter and provide funding to install the glass wall or concrete barriers instead of widening the M7, its simple request, I urge you to consider it prior to approval.

Happy to discuss further.

Regards,

A Daniel

I object to the current design of the M12 to M7 (southbound) off ramp. This off ramp is elevated above the ridge line, and will be not only visible to a large section of Cecil Hills residents below, but will increase noise, light & air pollution, day & night. During planning for the M7 motorway, after considerable community protest, the motorway route was amended to increase the distance from existing homes. This is now being undone by adding this off ramp between the M7 & existing homes.
As this off ramp will be on a decline, heavy vehicles will use compression braking as they currently do on the M7. The M7 noise alleviation devices are totally ineffective for this type of noise, especially at night. This new off ramp will be much worse, being elevated high above the suburb.

It seems nonsensical for the route of the M12 to be north of the Elizabeth Drive Landfill Facility rather than to the south. The northern side is close to a residential area & will have a significant noise impact on residents, on top of the noise impact they already face from the airport. The southern side has no residential impact. The northern side is also significantly lower than the southern side, & is adjacent to Badgery's Creek which experienced significant flooding in February 2020.

I support the project, but don’t support the way the M12 ramp at Cecil hills is going to be built. Noise and light pollution will rise, already the current M7 is very noisy from my property, fell very sorry for owners that live even closer. I wish the planners would place themselves in the home owners shoes and think about what they fell when building something up high, that has noise and light pollution close to there home rather than just finding the cheapest way to build it. Certainly the home value will go down in the future, I recommend underground tunnel or design a ramp that is further away and lower to the ground to minimise the noise and light pollution. Something to think about. Thank you

Part of my property has been included in the Amendment Report as additional and amended ancillary facilities to support the delivery of amended project. This would be as an additional temporary lease marked as AF14
There was No consultation with me except the day before the release of the amended report being released which was a short call to tell me my property was ear marked in the report.
My property has been listed as rural/residential, but we just don't reside here, we breed quarter horses and the whole of the property is used for this. Also my partner has been diagnosed with terminal cancer which may cause us to move. This lease will create undue stress on myself and partner should I have to try and sell as this area of Lot 33 Sec A, DP2566 forms one lot which is included with Lot 32, Sec A and would be difficult to sell. I have studied the plan and there would be other suitable areas such as the north east boundary of AF13 and possibly the ancillary facility as per the EIS AF5

I strongly object to this project due to air pollution affecting the quality of life of the residents living in the area as well as the noise pollution interrupting the peace of this suburban area which decreases the productivity of the residents due to lack of sleep from noise. It should be built farther from residential areas such as Cecil Hills.

I am totally against the new amendments revised off ramps onto the M7 and additional entry and exit point at Elizabeth drive. as this would cause unbearable noise and pollution to the surrounding area for all the residents.
