I have been advised by the contractors who maintain our bore that a more powerful pump will not compensate for a reduction in water support or increase our present output but will only burn the water pump out. We rely on the amount and quantity of our bore water to maintain our property. We will be devastated if the Hume Coal project is approved.

Message
We rely heavily on our bore water to maintain our property. The contractors who maintain our bore have advised us that the potential reduction to the water supply and the quality of the water available which will be caused by the proposed coal mine will not be able to be rectified by a more powerful bore. They have advised that it will result in the bore pump being burnt out. Lack of reliable, good quality bore water will significantly reduce the value of our property.
