I support the proposed redevelopment of Cranbrook School
The school is an important infrastructure in the secondary education
system in Sydney.
Growing cities like Sydney need to continue to upgrade their education
facilities to keep pace with change in both population and society
trends
All who protest against this redevelopment should remember the school
will be still educating secondary students when they have all vacated
their residences.
Society has to continue to evolve and not be constrained by a few
The Authorities have to take a longer term view than just the present

I note that the application includes an internal driveway between
Victoria Road and Rose Bay Avenue. for an on campus 'kiss and
ride'facility. This facility is commendable, but will probably
increase the traffic accessing New South Head Road from Rose Bay
Avenue. This intersection (Rose Bay Avenue with New South Head Road)
is very dangerous for pedestrians as is - It is really frightening to
cross this intersection to continue on NSH Road with several near
misses witnessed to date. The increased traffic as a result of this
facility will make the intersection even more dangerous. Children
being driven to school should not put the lives of children walking to
school at risk. Could you please consider this when deciding on the
application and include measures that will allow a safe crossing of
this T-section (traffic island, pedestrian crossing / zebra crossing).
Thank you for your time reading this.
