I object to this Waste Incinerator being built as it will cause pollutants in the air and toxins in our food. This will result in harmful effects on the community and people living in the vicinity of the project. I currently enjoy breathing in clean air and I do not want this to change for myself and future generations. Please read with an open heart and think of the children, your children.

I am registering my submission that the proposed Cleanaway incinerator be denied approval to be built.
This incinerator will give negative health effects to thousands of citizens who live in the area.

This proposed project is too close to the community and in my opinion cause long term health issues.

The project is well within Minchinbury city limits. I am very concerned about the potential adverse health impact of dioxins, fine particles and carcinogens present in emissions. Even though the project might be state of art but there are certain pollutants that cannot be removed. We have a baby at home and we are planning for our next baby. We donot want any future health implications for the present and the future generations.
Kindly request you to not build this so close to areas where people. !!!!Please!!!
REQUEST YOU TO SPARE OUR LIVES AND LET THIS SMALL SUBURB LIVE WITH ITS DENIZENS HEALTHY!

People in the Western Suburbs have put up with a lot of environmental issues in the past, we have had to contend with the current Badgerys Creek airport debacle. We put up with the Eastern Creek dump, now we are going to have this incinerator thrown at us. Please Have Mercy.

We have enough environmental pollution at present with the smelly Eastern Creek dump so close to were we live. Please stop the Cleanaway incinerator we do not need it here.

My family & extended families along with ten grandchildren all live in areas close to or within this proposed development and it scares me to death.Surely in this day and age we deserve the right to bring up our children and future generations in a clean and safe environment.Nothing to date has shown that this project will in deed be safe or clean and I believe my children,my grandchildren your children and all people have this right to expect better of our government, councils and big business who should be acting on our behalf and not looking for the big $$$$$

I strongly object to this project proceeding due to the following:
1) Health hazards caused by emissions - unwelcome pollution
2) Use of open land which could be better used as public parkland
3) This is not a sustainable solution for waste management - we need to learn to create less waste and recycle as much as possible - not just stick it in a big furnace!

I find the local governments persistence with this project despite the violation of epa guidelines and advice and the known health dangers involved for the local population to be greedy and out of step with community expectations. A project of this nature will not only put lives at risk but will also devalue local property I include excerpts from recent studies as evidence of health issues involved with these facilities.

A 2020 Study “The Health Impacts of Waste Incineration: A Systematic Review in Austraia” states; A range of adverse health effects were identified, including significant associations with some neoplasia, congenital anomalies, infant deaths and miscarriage, but not for other diseases. Ingestion was the dominant exposure pathway for the public.
It has recently been reported that Ultra fine Particulates, which are emitted from Incinerators in high quantities - are associated with an increase in blood pressure in schoolchildren, with the smallest particles inducing the largest effect. Please take this information into serious consideration before making your decision

Hello.
I strongly object to this project. Our Western Sydney community had rallied around last time the Incinerator project was tabled. At the time - the health & safety of the community WAS more important than the Big Business dollars. Doesn’t seem to be the case now and Cleanaway is on board, wanting to pollute our lives.
How could any planning department move forward with 2 Incinerators, so close to Residential areas. Look at the 5km radius of these two planned Incinerators and the densely populated areas it covers. It’s disgusting that the health and well being of people means so little.
How dare the government consider something this drastic and not ensure that every resident that will be affected is contacted directly, to be made aware of the effects this will have on their lives.
It’s not like Western Sydney hasn’t struggled enough with fires, floods and CoVid and if we didn’t lose people that way - we are now told we will now potentially living in an environmental sacrifice zone with the proposal of 2 Incinerators.
Even after all the hard work done to rally around last time to stop the one Incinerator being built there, how is this even being tabled again?
Why should our community be put at higher risk of disease, such as cancer, asthma, reduced lung function and other health impacts, living in such close proximity to the toxic emission that will be released. What about our physical and mental health? What about all of the schools within that 5km radius? What about the elderly, the families? To say nothing of property values.

Surely the communities could be serviced by renewable energy and zero-waste streams that eliminates the need for these types of incinerators.

Please - reconsider this proposal and object this going forward. Again.
Thank you.

I think it hasn’t been proven to be 100% safe, and I also don’t think it’s fair that we in the West are always subject to mor tolls, less resources , and now this incinerator that I am sure the owner of Cleanaway wouldn’t want near his home.

As an Australian citizen and resident of Minchinbury, I OBJECT to this project. It will only decrease the level of living standards of all surrounding suburbs and we don’t want anything to do with it! This project stinks of class warfare and it’s inherently unethical.
I OBJECT TO THIS PROJECT!

The project is going to be detrimental to the communities health. This sort of project has been rejected in many countries in the world and should not be approved to be built in such close proximity to a residential area.

As a member of the local community, I am strongly opposed to this development on the grounds of health and long term community safety.

Energy from waste plants have been noted from multiple sources to increase pollution in the area. There are schools, shops and children living within close proximity to this proposed development.

We can already smell the waste disposal centre on frequent occasions so I have no doubt any discharge from an energy from waste centre will reach the community and the full impacts likely won't be seen for years to come.
Initially house and land prices will likely fall as no one wants to live near a plant such as this. In the longer term, I have concerns around the possibility of cancer clusters or other health impacts as the resulting pollutants are widely unknown.

I have spoken with many others in the local community and no one is in favour of this type of project.
