I object to this because it clearly will have a detrimental effect on the air quality, not only here but on all the surrounding suburbs. All you need is a windy day and the whole of the Sydney basin will be affecte

The incinerator is to close to residential areas. There is no proof that it is 100% environmentally or human friendly.

Another side effect of this would be the devaluation of surrounding properties & suburbs
I 100%

I strongly object to this project due to the fumes which this incinerator will emit right across the western suburbs.

The concept of burning rubbish contradicts both the State and Federal Governments aim to move toward a circular economy where we must recycle, re-use and use goods made from recycled materials. Burning rubbish is not a solution and will do nothing to reduce our footprint & impact on the planet. Such a facility will also dramatically reduce the health outcomes for people all over the Sydney Basin and in particular those close to the proposed facility at Eastern Creek. It will emit highly toxic chemicals that we know are extremely harmful to human health. It strikes me as completely non-sensical to allow such a facility to commence whilst we have taken the most significant action to arrest another health problem in COVID-19. Such a facility will condemn the air quality of Sydney for decades to come. The economy is also transitioning to a low carbon dioxcide future, so why on earth would we choose to take this backward step and pollute our atmosphere like this ? The evidence is clear, poor air quality results in millions of deaths around the world. Don't we care about the health of our citizens ? It seems we are putting profit before people. I urgent the NSW government to stop not only this

I am totally against the construction of an incinerator which will most certainly will pollute the atmosphere in the area. It is disgusting for you to name this project as Energy and Resource Recovery Centre when your actual and major intention behind this is to construct an incinerator to burn waste. Sydney west is not a dumping ground.

All too often projects are suggested for placement in Western Sydney because they are noisy, smelly, polluting, contentious, traffic generating, operate 24/7, or are just plain unpopular (e.g. the second Sydney Airport)........ if this project has none of these negatives, there is no reason why it could not be located on Sydney's North Shore ............

I have a young family as do many people in the area and this would be a major health risk to all in the area and needs to be stopped and i dont support for this to be built in the local community

This project will emit fumes right across Western Sydney. It is unnecessary. Alternative processes need to be investigated

My objections to this project is based on the following one is the environmental impacts as that the areas around Sydney are starting to decrease to add this would be degrading because most of the material that would be ending up in the incinerator. The other would to the the increased traffic from the different councils to deliver to the site would put further strain on the local roads as that the area is already struggling with the industry that has been developed over the last few years and also near the new airport might not be the sight that people want to see when entering into Sydney via the new Western Sydney Airport.

Good idea in theory but the drawbacks outweigh the benefits so it should not go forward. Perhaps we could put this somewhere away from residents.

l have lived in Minchinbury for the last 35 years and seen the surrounding areas and suburbs evolve from an expanding residential area to what would be called a large industrial estate, every spare parcel of land around Minchinbury is now industrial which brings even more trucks and traffic on the road. There are already 2 waste facilities not far from me on Wallgrove Road with their accompanying smells and trucks that go along with it ,we also have the Mini Mill spewing steam and whatever else 24/7, the M7 with all the trucks and increased vehicle numbers plus Aldi, Startrack, and Woolworths warehouses now at my door, everything to do with waste gets dumped in the WEST, we are not second class citizens so how much more pollution are we supposed to put up with, l didn't buy near and airport but l will soon be living near one that will put even more trucks and traffic on and already stressed road network and now they want to add more ,you only have to commute to work in the morning from here to see how the road system struggles now and they want to add more!!, they say this facility is "clean energy" what about all the trucks that have to deliver to it to keep it running 24/7 they are they GREEN so where is the saving/benefit ???????. This facility would be better placed where there is rail to support the delivery of waste material in bulk and if it is SO CLEAN why can it not be placed closer to the city where it would benefit from rail infrastructure or out of the city altogether as the waste still has to be transported anyway, l object to this project on the grounds that Cleanaway just want to dump this on us here in the west because it will make them money and has nothing to with making CLEAN ENERGY at the detriment of local residents and could be better placed away from an already congested enviroment

Why put this incinerator in Western Sydney, there's enough rubbish dumps in this area. Kemps Creek & Londonderry for a start.
Build it in the North Shore area and see how far that goes.
We don't need an incident like there was recently in Beirut, dangerous processes and plants should be kept well away from residential areas.

We can't leave this to our grandchildren.

The proposed incinerator by Cleanaway should not be approved morally for health reasons. The Planning Arm of the NSW Government will be sending residents of Western Sydney to an early grave by approving the construction of a second airport at Badgerys Creek, construction of which has already begun, and now an incinerator. The fumes emitted from the airport and the incinerator will further worsen not only the noise levels but the existing pollution levels in Western Sydney.

My 30 year old son has multiple disabilities and suffers from acute asthma. Perhaps I should start planning his funeral now.

I urge you to re-think Cleanaway's application for an incinerator in Western Sydney atleast on considerate and ethical grounds.

Do not approve with this project. As a resident of the Erskine Park area for over 12 years it is bad enough that we need to smell & ingest the existing odour of disgusting rooting rubbish at different times of the day. I do not want the health of my family & myself to be compromised because of this. Considering there is so much land in this country, why does it have to be so close to residential areas. Surely there has to be a better alternative where it won’t impact individuals lives. I hope the people are heard & something is done to STOP this. I have faith in our system in putting the lives of humans before corporate profit.

The waste incinerator will bring population to the surrounding area. Air quality will also dramatically reduce. As a result , our quality of life will decrease. This is a dangerous proposal and I object to the waste incinerator being built in Eastern Creek. The residents of Eastern Creek and surrounding suburbs do not want this. The Public Health Association of Australia (PHAA) stated in it's systematic review of research into waste incinerators last year found "contamination of food and ingestion of pollutants is a significant risk ... for both nearby and distant residents", as well as workers. The public health concern outweighs any sort of benefit that the waste incinerator may bring.
