Illawarra Shoalhaven Regional Plan 2041

Following a review that involved extensive consultation with the community and stakeholders, the Illawarra Shoalhaven Regional Plan has been updated to reset priorities for the region over the next 20 years.

Illawarra Shoalhaven Regional Plan 2041 builds on the original regional plan to ensure the region grows to be:

  • productive and innovative
  • sustainable and resilient
  • smart and connected, and
  • a region that values its people and places.

The updated Regional Plan is the first in the state to undergo a five-year review to ensure continued progress and prosperity for the Illawarra Shoalhaven region for the next two decades.

This plan is supported by a Special Infrastructure Contribution scheme that sets out how $124 million worth of roads, green space, health, transport and emergency services will be delivered and improved.
